Averill Field and Skate Park Dedication Ceremonies

Mayor Cameron Bailey and On Board Snohomish's Corey McCrea cut the ceremonial ribbon officially opening the new Snohomish Skate Park.

Following is a link to a movie of a skating, biking and boarding demonstration put on by all of the attending youths.

Young Jake gets fitted with a free helmet by Dr. Pete Hutchinson.  Helmets have been donated by the Kiwanis and other concerned Snohomish citizens.

The official opening of the Skate Park also marks the beginning of the helmets required enforcement!

  
After the opening of the Skate Park, the crowds moved down the road for the dedication of the Earl Averill Field.  Earl's four sons were there to help kick off the festivities.  Following the speeches,  an exhibition game was put on by the South Snohomish Little League.
