General Election Results

City government had a number of positions and an advisory measure on the ballot this November. The Snohomish County Auditor's Office lists the full results of the election.


The new mayor will take office after the election results are certified on Nov. 28. Newly elected council members will also be sworn in at the Dec. 5 City Council meeting.

  • City Council Position 3: Jason Sanders
  • City Council Position 4: Tom Merrill 
  • City Council Position 5: Linda Redmon
  • City Council Position 6: Larry Countryman 
  • City Council Position 7: Steve Dana 

Marijuana Advisory Measure

  • 67% No
  • 33% Yes

The City Council placed this measure on the ballot to ask whether marijuana related businesses should be permitted to operate in the City of Snohomish.  Existing City codes prohibit all marijuana-related retail, production and processing operations.The ballot measure is non-binding and advisory.

To register to vote in the state of Washington, you must be:  

  • A citizen of the United States
  • A legal resident of Washington state
  • At least 18 years old by election day
